2nd Octave G

When playing the Tenor Sax, when I'm going up the scale all is well until I get to the G in the second scale then I get a high, squeaky note unless I'm way too careful. I'm starting to doubt that it's me but maybe it is or maybe it's my sax. Is anyone familiar this issue? Thanks,
