Kohlert Sax

Hi!

I want to buy my first sax (I know how to play,I'm not a total beginner I just played on a sax I had from church) and I found a Kohlert tenor sax wich I can tell it's from the 30's by looking at it's serial number. The owner wants 150$ for it do you think it's worth it?And please correct me if I mistaken it's time of manfucaturing, also can you please tell me if you know how much would you give for the sax.

Thanks!

    Re: Kohlert Sax

That's not a bad price at all.  If you're switching over from a more modern horn there are things you will need to get used to with the keywork.  But a prewar Kohlert is kewl.
