My Conn Alto

I need some help identifying my horn...it seems to be a common shooting stars but its not, first it is exceptionally heavy, the engraved carats under the Conn are unusual, and the serial # n311xx is only 5 digits...lastly this horn was bought for me brand new in 1971 from Bastardo Bros. in NJ USA. My parents and I were told that this horn was different from the other Conn horns of the period. My experience has borne this out. I've played this horn through elementary, high school marching band, college, and professionally. The only work I've had done to it is yearly regulation, I once knocked a keyguardr off,  and 5 or six repads. This horn is a monster. Plays from whisper to scream. I have held other shooting stars from the period, they are undeniably different. What is this horn?
