Alcazar silver plated alto

Hi...i was called into a thrift shop to look at an alto sax and provide feedback on it's playability.

I have not been able to find much information about the name Alcazar. I'm wondering if this horn is worth a full overhaul. It's pretty and in the original case, stenciling around the name Alcazar. Unfortunately I forgot my camera!!!  TX - Jen

the numbers on the horn are:

Pat Date Sept 4, 1915

1153489

A

6762

L

From the information you've provided it is an alto sax probably from the 1920s or 1930s that is theoretically playable to modern tuning standards (that's what the "L" indicates).  Stencil horns have a low market value.  If you want a better estimate, post some pictures sufficient to show its details and condition.
