Former brass player, now loving alto

Hello everyone.  My name is Mark.  I just recently started playing the old alto horn that belonged to my wife.  Trombone was getting old since I have been playing low brass since middle school.  I felt it was time for change.

I'm sporting a nice vintage Bundy II (I say that with total sarcasm).  It plays well enough for me.  I have already upgraded the stock mouthpiece to a nice S80 C*.  I may invest in the C** or the D.  I feel like I'm having to force air through the horn.  Playing up high I never use up an entire breath.  I have a Jody Jazz 6M that I'm working on as well.

I am really loving the alto sax, and all the different sounds you can get out of it.  I love the growl, the soft sub tones, and everything in between.  I hope to learn as much as possible and, dare I say it, get a C-Melody sax in the future.  I'm debating between a vintage Conn and a new sax.co.uk Sakkusu C-Melody.  I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

Hope to contribute quite a bit to the site!
