This is an original New York Meyer Bros. alto saxophone mouthpiece that is in beautiful near mint condition. The facing is 3 with a medium chamber. The table, rails and tip are absolutely flawless. It has never been worked on and is absolutely original! The piece has all of the original gold lettering preserved and still has a gorgeous original shine to the rubber. This mouthpiece has been unplayed for nearly 50 years. The only flaws are a few minor surface ligature scratches on the top of the mouthpiece, and very tiny surface tooth scratches on the biteplate. This is an awesome vintage saxophone mouthpiece that plays great as is as it actually measures much more open than a 3.

It comes in the original Meyer Bros. 3M mouthpiece box that is stamped tenor saxophone not alto also in near mint condition. The mouthpiece was purchased from an old music store that has been out of business for many years and we were assured that this was indeed the original box it came in as it has sat untouched in a drawer throughout the years.
