This is an exquisite vintage Conn 10M tenor saxophone, serial number 266946. This outstanding instrument has greater than 95% original lacquer remaining, a rarity among this vintage of 10M.
The sax is in outstanding physical condition. There are no dents or resolder work to be found, and no signs of any past damage or repairs. The lacquer wear is just spotty, leaving this as one of the best looking 10M’s we’ve seen. The horn does have rolled tone holes.
The sax is photographed with the original case, which is also in remarkable condition with just a few light scuff marks.
This horn has "THE SOUND" you’d expect and desire from a 10M of this vintage. It has a huge open sound, with a nice spread characteristic and almost no resistance. It is an effortless player to the extreme!
