This is a remarkable ORIGINAL gold plated Buescher True Tone soprano sax, serial number 194935. Having received a full pad job by Saxquest's repair guru, Duncan Bamsey in 2006, this soprano was in excellent condition and is playing to the top of its potential.

The original burnished gold finish on this soprano stands at 99+%. There is really no wear to speak of and the sax is simply beautiful. There are no dents or dings, and no signs of any past damage or repairs, including NO resoldered joints. This instrument has been seriously well maintained.

All of the pads are brand new top grade Prestini pads, with original metal snap-in resonators. The instrument feels extremely comfortable and effortless, with a medium key height and medium spring tension.

This horn is a real sweet player. The gold plating adds a rich enveloping characteristic to the overall sound, and intonation is very good. It offers very little resistance to the player. This can be a real versatile instrument, working extremely well in both the jazz and classical settings.
