BUESCHER Aristocrat "post "Big-B" - Lacquer (Serial Number: 338555) Back to model

This is a post Big-B Buescher Aristocrat tenor saxophone from 1951, serial number 338555. It is in incredible near mint condition with the original Norton gold plated springs, railroad track style keyguards and Bueshcer snap-in resonator pads. All of the amber rollers and pearls are original and excellent.

The sax was sold by Saxquest back in 2002 after it had received a top-rate PC by sax repairman, Aaron Barnard. He redid all of the adjustments and set the horn up beautifully. They decided to leave the original pads with snap ins intact as they were still soft and Aaron made sure they were seating perfectly.

The physical condition is excellent. There are NO dents, and NO resoldered joints. There was very minor dentwork done to the bottom bow, where there are a few surface chair dings. The neck is the original and is physically excellent with only minor lacquer spotting.

The sound is incredibly FAT, and expressive with a hauntingly sweet character to the tone. This is the perfect tenor for a vintage sound.
