This is an exquisite all original Buescher Aristocrat "Big B" model alto sax, serial number 328114. This horn is in beautiful original condition, with over 99% original lacquer intact and almost no wear of note. It has just a couple small spots on the usual touch points and that's it.

This alto is a real gem. The Big B (nick-named so because of the engraving) is a fantastic horn, known for having a rich, dark tonal core and solid intonation. This alto is a real sweet player, very resonant and extremely responsive. The rare saxophone model that has die hard fans in both classical and jazz players alike.

This alto was overhauled in 2011 by Saxquest's George Bunk. He replaced the pads, corks, and felts, but was able to retain all the rest of the original hardware. It has the original amber rollers, the original gold plated Norton springs, and the original metal domed snap-in resonators.
