C.G. CONN Gold Plate Art Deco Transitional (Serial Number: 248650) Back to model

Here is a beautiful gold plated Conn "Transitional" alto sax, serial number 248650. This horn has the art deco engraving and is as gorgeous as they come. It is a sweet playing alto.

Physically, you don't find many Conns of this vintage as nice as this one. The gold plating is nearly perfect, with very little wear, and is over 98% intact. There are no dents or dings, and no history of dents or dings, anywhere on the sax. There are no resoldered joints and no signs of any past damages or repairs. The sax does have rolled tone holes, and comes with the original Conn tuner double socket neck with underslung octave key, also in near perfect condition.

The horn has a sweet rich sound, with a nice spread characteristic that really makes it easy to play. This is a versatile sax that you can do just about anything with.
