This is a 139xxx Mark VI alto saxophone circa 1967. I have had the horn professionaly checked out, and the opinion is this particular instrument was relacquered, and later stripped of all of its lacquer. It was lightly buffed, more on the bell than the keys. This horn comes with standard leather pads with screw-in metal resonators. Also, this horn is consiered one of the first medium bow or "Sanborn" era alto saxopohones. It is a screaming alto at a lower-than normal price for a VI of his vintage. |
