Panicked mom looking for advice on saxophones for. G 12 year old

My 11 year old son is going to be able to join band for the first time next year. They tested the instruments and his teacher said he was best with the saxophone. He will be 12 for next school year. I need some help! I know nothing about saxophones! Could someone give me some advice on what would be a good fit to try? Or is there any specific things I need to know? He is very excited about finally getting to be in band. If he wants it this badly so do I. So anyone that could help me out with any infoemation ideas anything!! What would be a good starter saxophone and everything else that can help me transition to his next great task I would be so greatfull!! Hoping this message is even ok to send out. Just a panicking mom trying to learn the 10 millionth thing since becoming a mom!!
