King Super 20

There's a 1972-73 King Super 20 on ebay right now. I know these are great horns, but I am wondering if these are great years for this horn. How about a Perfection, made in Bruno, NY- not sure about the age, but is listed as vintage. Does anyone know anything about these horns? Thanks in advance for any info. Both horns are tenors.

    Re: King Super 20

The late model Kings (Zephyrs and Super 20s) Post Eastlake production aren't up to snuff compared to the earlier models. Quality control, materials, attention to detail and features were seriously compromised by this point. Better to stay with the early 60's Super 20's and EARLIER, and the early 50's model Zephyrs and EARLIER. The Bruno N.Y. Perfection is likely a Conn or Buescher stencil l(both made models for Bruno), but I'd have to see a picture to properly I.D. it.
