Evette Schaeffer?

Does anyone know anything about the Evette Schaeffers? I think they were made around the 1930's.

    I was looking at baritone saxes in the 60's and one those I tried was an Evette Schaefer. It was a new horn, and I liked it a lot. I don't know anything else about them. My granddaughter has a clarinet that says Evette Buffet Crampton on it, but I don't know if that is affiliated with Evette Schaefer saxophones or not.
