L.A. Saxes

Does anyone have any information or feedback about playing an L.A. Sax? I'm thinking about purchasing an intermediate L.A. saxophone as a step up from my Conn Student Model Saxophone. I've been playing sax for 6 years.

    ive heard decent things about LA Sax in general. However, i think the LA Sax's Chicago series horns have gotten less positive feedback. always try the horn out before you buy it, but i would recommend keeping an eye out for other brands as well.

    if you want a modern horn, id look at yamaha, or selmer PARIS... even though id be cautious about the reference models, to me it sounds like they are really dry, and dont have that richness that the great horns have. Keilworth might be worth taking a look at too
