Weltklangs were built in the Soviet era DDR (East Germany), and although built like tanks and "Strong like bull" in typical Soviet style, are not especially great in any regard. I'd definitely pass on this one.

Like those Russian made saxes I tried one time. Yes, they were built like tanks, but they sounded almost like the kinds of big horns they use in the Alps or in the Himalayas. A foghorn also comes to mind. Maybe the klang in the name is literal.

i've never seen a baritone , but you'll almost definately find at least one "weltklang" sax or trombone or something at any european "antique" market. i'd never buy one unless it maybe happened to have a really nice non-original case or mouthpiece . but that hasn't happened yet.
