Selmer c* mouthpiece

I have a Selmer C* mouthpiece, and i was wondering if anyone knew of a way to get an odor out of it. I got it used and it is a brown color except where the ligature was, that part is still black. When I played it, the smell came out, so it seems it smells worse when it is wet. I have tried lemon juice, rubbing alcohol, and baking soda. Does anyone know how to get this smell out?
