Yamaha Yas-23 low C key broken
Here is the problem: my student broke off the plate (with roller) od C low key on YAS 23. I could solder it back for him, but he managed to lose the broken off part.
The alto isn't worth expensive repairs and the guy is pretty poor.
As I see, we have the options:
1. Order a new key from Yamaha through Yamaha dealer - probably very expensive.
2. Find a used key in some music shop - pretty impossible without paying for work, which is probably expensive - and which I can easily do myself.
3. Find a similar C key from any saxophone, detach the plate and solder it to the remaining body of the key. I have enough skills to do it myself too.
Any advice? Please!
