     There are many great options in the $2500 price range. You can get just about any variety of used good quality current production professional model saxophones in that price range. For example, Selmer Serie II or III, a Yamaha Custom ZZ or EX, Yani 991, Keilwerth SX90R. In new horns, you also find P. Mauriat priced in that mid $2k price range depending on the model. P. Mauriat has come onto the scene over the past 5-6 years and really established itself as a major player based on the high quality of product, very reasonable price andhigh  number of great artists playing and endorsing their instruments.
