Selmer S80 D

Hi guys

I play Tenor Saxophone and I am experimenting wiyh mouthpieces at the moment

Ive managed to get hold of a Selmer S80 D . Ive been told this is a Classical Piece

I love playing Jazz and Have had a blow on it .....It is so easy to blow ....and yes Ive

been blowing a bit of Jazz with it ........ It has a really warm sound as if I were Subtoning

without subtoning if that makes sense ........ any body tried doing Jazz with  this piece

It depends on your concept of a jazz sound? If you like the S80 sound then go for it. For me, my sound has to be louder with more edge than a S80 D chould provide!! I play a Jody Jazz DV 7 for tenor and it gives me the sound I want.....:)
