my original music?

Hey guys, I was wondering what do you guys do with you're original compositions? I like wana play them with my quartet, but I haven't like registrated them. Do you guys like pay 200.00 buks to copywright your compositions? Please help, as you can see I have no experience at all. Thanks peace, Love and Music

    Re: my original music?

First, take a visit to www.copyright.gov - it will have answers to just about all of your questions. It costs $30 per submission. You can choose to submit an entire group of songs in one submission. That way it only costs you one $35 fee. The downside to this is, should you ever have an opportunity to sell your compositions, you'd want individual copyrights. Most people don't ever worry about this, so the group option is a good deal. But don't take my word for it - check out the FAQ at the web site. Good luck, Eric
