Bronze vs. Steel ?

Looking at picking up a Berg Larsen metal mpc. . . Any thoughts ? Bronze or Steel ? . . New or Vintage ?

    Obviously steel will be a lot easier to find in a variety of sizes. Bronze pieces are great but much more hit and miss. If you can find a good vintage Berg in good shape, that would be advice. You can find good new ones, but the consistency isn't there.

      Thanks for your insight .. Tried a 130/0 at a friend's shop.. . also tried a  vintage Vandoren Blue Jumbo T75 & fell in love . . so the question is over . . didn't like the feel of the Berg .

    i have a berg larsen vintage 85/1 m with oringal ligature and cover for sale.

      Thanks anyway . . went in a different direction with a 70's  Vandoren Blue Jumbo T75
