HELP VINTAGE SAX

So I buy storage units and I came across this saxophone and I was wondering if anyone can tell me anything about it. Is it silver plated or brass? The front says collegiate made by holton elkhorn wise thing will help. :)

    That's a Bb Tenor in satin-silver plating. If I read it's serial number right (143XXX) it would've been made in 1941 at the Elkhorn, WI, plant.
