Martin The Indiana Alto Sax

Hello All,

I have had this alto for 20 years. It is a Martin The Indiana Alto Sax - serial# 67664. It works perfectly for me. I have cared for it and gotten it serviced regularly.

Any idea if this is one of those valuable ones or just a "run of the mill" alto.

It has served me well over the years and I am not looking to sell it. I just want to know what it may be worth if I ever decided to part with it. Also a good idea to know for insurance purposes should anything unfortunate happen.

And maybe the history of it - if anyone knows how to track that.

If you know about these horns please reply or send me a direct e-mail to:

Thanks for your help!

Thank you. So I am guessing this is a run of the mill sax that sold a ton of them back in the day.
When was it manufactured do you think?

It was made in the 1950s

Considered a student or less exspensive line when manufactured.

It is better than most horns made today. Most are made in Taiwan now.

No true American horns are made anymore. Those that are, live on the

history and reputation  of when American horns were good.
