How do the newer Lacquer color finishes hold up under soldering

I have not had the "pleasure" of working on some of the new finishes on horns.

White, Black, Bronzed Steel, Antique Finish. I am sure all of these will have some sort of reaction to soldering repairs.

Anybody out  have any input of what To Do and what NOT to do in such situations to avoid/restrict the amount of damage to the finish in the soldering area.

I simply dont know what to expect. I am very good at using a heat gun to take care of 85% of the heating prior to applying the open flame. So i do have experience and know what to expect on a clear honey lacquer.
