Bari Sax

I recently been assigned to play Bari Sax and I have a lots of low D’s and C’a but I can’t get them out. It’s been tough adjusting my embouchure to it but that isn’t my problem. When ever I play a D it just plays a weird pitch, it isn’t a D but it isn’t not a D. It’s kind of hard to explain but it isn’t the proper tone. I would really app any tips or advice, my thinking is just that I haven’t been playing long enough and need to give it time to form properly.

    Are you getting some overtones or perhaps some warble?  It sounds like you may have some leaks.  Put a leak light down the horn or take it into a tech and have him check it out.
