New hard case and vintage Martin. Is it a match made in heaven?

Or not.

My friend said that vintage alto or tenor seldom fits to new hard case. Should i buy soft case or does someone know better? Please suggest which one is best for the reasonable budget since I need cases to alto, tenor and baritone low Bb.

Which one you choosed, hard or soft and why.

Im lousy amateur so not much travellin except when I give hard time to my poor teacher...

Thanks for your time!

There are hard shell cases that will fit vintage horns with left side bell keys.  I use a Protec for a Conn 10M with the big bell.  Soft cases ("gig bags") leave a horn vulnerable to costly damage if you are not extremely careful.  They are sketchy enough for altos and tenors, but using one for a bari would be asking for trouble.
