Lakey rubber mpc

Hey guys, haven't posted for awhile, decided to stop talking about saxophone and to start playing instead. I just had one quick question about the claude lakey hard rubber mouthpieces. I had heard about some qc issues and was wondering if any of y'all had any experience with them. This for tenor, by the way.

I have an alto piece that was ok on my mk. VI, but really squirrely on my 6M. Needed major surgery. Not to be unkind, but there are much better choices for hard rubber. Check out Jody Jazz. Listen to Prez. He could get a killer sound out of what looks to be a Brillhart. (at this point somewhere the Knights nod wisely...) Link, Berg, if you have the bucks, Lamberson, there are lots of good ones. What kind of sound is in your head? Give us a description and somebody will surely point you in a good direction.

Dont walk, RUN to the nearest stairway exit from the claude lakey piece. Thais of course, unless you want to squeak and squeal a lot and run your audience off!
