missing serial number buescher

alternative or extra position for serial number?

I have a true tone Buescher bass sax, which has had it's serial number

filed off!  (but) 228068 appears under right hand trill key.

would this be the serial?

    I do believe it would be.

    I have seen the serial numbers on different horns on the side keys very often over my years of refurbishing vintage saxes.

    So now you can honestly state the serial number
