    Re: Soprano Supertone

The only thing I definitely can see is the tone holes are beveled. This is something most notably was done by Martin. It is a wonderful piece. I think I see a serial number, but the picture is not very clear.

     Id love to have it.

The original patina and never being lacquered makes it more desireable to collectors.

If there is any information by the thumb rest, that would let us informed

American  saxophone people tell you more.

    Good Luck

This is what you have. The name engraved on the bell means it was a stencil instrument.

Made by Martin but sold under a different company.

BUT, yours also has "selmer like" palm keys, which I find intersting on a horn made by Martin. There is an older martin curved soprano here from 1919 that does have palm keys like that. So, your horn is probably fron that period, just before 1920.

Look under the museum tab in the upper left corner of this home page.

        Under martin, then martin handcraft.

Maybe some other members will have additional input.

        A Great Piece!

        Good Luck
