Identifying a Vintage Conn

My Grandfather left me this saxaphone when he passed away. I have played it for years not knowing what it is beyond the fact that its a Conn and that its old. I dont think i would ever sell it but i want to know what im playing on. My Father once told me that it was re-lacquered at one point.      :Edit. This saxaphone is an alto and has a tuning device on the neck.

This is what you have. Yours was probably originally silver plated.

They did not engrave or lacquer the brass horns when 0riginally manufactured.

Stripping the silver and lacquering came about as an after market thing post WWII.

They are great horns and there are a lot of them out there.
