Help identifying Conn sax

Hi. I bought this used alto sax for my son. I know nothing about the instrument(violin and piano player). It needs re-padded and probably a general tuneup ($450-500). My question is: is this sax worth the tune-up? Will it be a good instrument after?

    It's a fine enough student model Conn. If the repad is done well with quality parts and is properly adjusted, it's a decent starter horn. I'm hoping you didn't pay too much, because with the cost of the repad, you don't want to be into it for more than about $700 - $800 total.
