Identify this tenor saxophonist

I am trying to find out the name of the tenor player in this photo that is on the left next to Mercer Ellington. This was the touring Duke Ellington Orchestra around 1980-82. Under Mercer Elligton's direction. They came and performed at my High School. We had a wonderful music program that also had the Basie Orchestra, Woody Herman Big Band, and the Air Force Jazz Ensemble come through. I got the jazz bug from the best sources.

This particular tenor player played an endless circular breathing solo on  Cottontail. After the concert, on the steps of their touring bus, he gave me a brief education on how to learn to circular breathe. Amazing he could teach so much in a 3 minute chance meeting. I have lost his name over the past 42 years and I cannot find any reference. But yes, I was able to develope the skill by following his brief description.

Thanks in advance  to any old guys with knowledge!!
