Try the "Concert and Contest Collection" for Eb Alto Saxophone with piano accompaniment compiled and edited by H. Voxman. It's put out by Rubank, and has 14 different selections. (Rubank Education Library No. 2938) My daughter played her solo for contest out of that book last year and received a best at site award. Good luck!

Have you heard of the Jamey Aebersold books? aebersold.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=JAZZ&Category_Code=AEBPLA "Maiden Voyage" and "Killer Joe" seem to be popular starters. I own them both.
