a few q's about a prospective setup

i currently am playing on a cannonball bigbell global series (alot of people hate em, but i love mine) and i'm using a Otto Link rubber 7* and rovner dark lig. Recently i went to one of my weekly private lessons and my teacher let me try out his setup which was a Ponzol M1 mpc w/ a Francois Louis Ultimate lig. I loved how easy the notes flowed out and how i could push it as bright or as dark as i wanted it to go. SO I was just wondering if the quality of either of these peices of equipment varied or if i can feel safe in dropping $300+ on this new setup.

I don't have experience with the FL ligs, but I do with Ponzol metals. Ponzols are finished to a very high level of quality and consistently play well - which is a completely different story when you are talking Links. So if you liked the M1 (which I happen to play on soprano), then chances are you would like another one.
