Selmer Super Balanced Action

I'm looking for some more info about this model. Is it the post- Balanced Action and pre- Mark VI? Can you please compare it to the Balanced Action and the Mark VI? It looks like this horn is much more expensive then the other models. Is it really worth the money? Thanks in advance.

The SBA was more of a fore-runner to the mk6 then a fore-runner to the BA. They are highly in demand as they only ran for 5 years and under 20,000 of all models were made whereas the mk6 ran for 19 years with over 175000 of all models were made, simply supply and demand Dave

they are defenitely worth the money, i play on one and it can outplay a mark vi in my opnion. it projects better, although from horn to horn i have noticed different levels of intonation problems. what is the serial. i play a 44XXX, made 1950. also, is it plated? i personally love plating on this model, they play extremely well
