Buescher True tone

I've come a crossed a Buescher Silver True tone alto sax with the serial number 196368. I'm curious when this might have been made, value, and how it will sound after it is refurbished?

1925, value check out ebay, sound absolutely superb and you may be luck and have the updated version with the crescent G# and top front F key. They do have great intonation Dave

Thank you for your response. Great info. I doesn't have the crescent G# lever. Please describe what you mean by the top front F key. I just love the Buescher saxophones. I own a tenor and an alto from the 1950s. Linda

Around about that serial number buesher started to fit the aux top F key which you press along with L/H C key for high F. If its fitted you will have an extra pearl just above the L/H B key the same as your later horns, if not you will soon see if you compare the two (3) side by side Dave
