BRILHART Carlsbad - Tonalin C.S.B. (Serial Number: 169629) Back to model

This is a classic Brilhart Tonalin tenor mouthpiece, serial number 169629. The rails, table and tip are perfect.  The tip opening measures 0.085.  The piece was originally stamped C.S.B on the side.  This was a special open facing that is equivalent to a modern day Otto Link 5 Star facing.

This is a fairly wide tip opening for an original Brilhart. It plays with a big and warm sound and doesn't require an especially hard reed.  It has some minor surface wear on the biteplate, and a couple of small ligature marks on the top.
