This is a nearly mint Selmer Balanced Action alto sax, serial number 26416. This instrument is pretty much unplayed and is as nice a BA as you will ever find.

The only wear to be found anywhere is of the light speckle variety. The original lacquer is 99% intact, and the color of the sax has darkened over time to a beautiful dark amber hue. It goes without saying that there isn't a dent or ding anywhere on this saxophone. The engraving is pristine with no lacquer wear around it, as can sometimes be found. The original neck does have some speckle wear on the side, but remains physically perfect.

This alto has such a sweet, warm and full sound with incredible tone shaping abilities. The intonation is excellent, making this horn an excellent choice for the player who loves the Selmer sound, but is looking for more expressiveness and flexibility than found on a Mark VI.
