This is an absolutely gorgeous vintage Conn soprano sax, serial number 226449. This has a unique finish, with a silver plated body and gold plated keys and gold inlay in the engraving, an option available from the factory at the time.

This horn does have rolled tone holes, and the fingernail file G# key. The horn is in outstanding physical condition, with no dents, no dings, no signs of any past damage, and very little resolder work. The horn has received a full pad job recently, using brown plastic resonators.

The sax has a real sweet sound. It offers just a bit of resistance to give the player something to push up against. It has a warm and inviting tone up and down the registers.

The silver and gold together combine to make this a truly beautiful soprano.
