I have a 'The Martin" tenor sax for sale. The serial numbers on the neck and body match. It has Mother-of-Pearl on nickel keys and an adjustable thumb rest. Also included are a Conn "Precision" mouthpiece, leather lanyard, and wood and leather case.
When I had it appraised, the appraiser thought it was made in the 1960s. He said it was an example of "The Martin." It does have an Indian etched on it. It says Martin Elhart Ind. on the bell and on the seal on the case. It was completely re-padded in 1993 and seems to have be been re-laquered. |
