Unusual Meyer NY Tru-Flex Mouthpiece
I'm trying to figure out what this piece is. In looking at www.mouthpieceheaven.com, it's very similar to the Tru-Flex pictured. However, there are three differences. It has MeYer Bros written on it just like a Meyer NY instead of lengthwise. New York is written on the underside of the shank below the table instead of on top of the shank below Meyer Bros. Lastly, in the cut out, it just says "Meyer Tru-Flex" instead of "Meyer Tru-Flex Facing". It's a 5S. I haven't been able to find out any other info on this specific configuration. Any ideas on what it is?
The piece is in very good shape, a little discoloring on the shank and a little above over the Meyer Bros writing, some toothmarks (scratches) but no gouges at all. Any thoughts on value?
Thanks,
Frank
