Saxophone Serial Numbers

It seems that posts constantly pop up about someone asking about their saxes and what year and model it is from its serial number. So for everyone here, before you ask us, just go to this web site. www.drrick.com He has a list of serial numbers and the years of manufacture for all vintage horns. So, if you have a vinatge horn and need to know when it was made, this is the place to go.

    Re: Saxophone Serial Numbers

I am looking at a sax and want to make sure that it is a C Soprano. It is a Buescher True-Tone with the serial number of 204448. It measures 25 1/2 inches without the mouthpiece. It also has the pat of Dec 8, 1914
