I can see from the pictures that the upper octave key is not closing. If that's all that wrong with it, you'll be a very happy camper. It could be a Conn stencil, and the 1914 patent date would be consistent with that, but if it actually is a Conn, it would say Conn, unless for some reason that's been buffed off.
If it has an H under the serial number, it will be tuned differently than today's standard, and will be difficult (if not impossible) to play with other instruments of today.
