      Ive played both, and owned both, they are on a comparable level, and perform equally well. Biggest choice is between the modern ergos of the brighter Yamaha versus or the darker martin

        Definition thanks for your input, however I've decided on a Yani T800, hope it plays as well as everyone says they do. Wayne

      I'm partial to The Martins myself. one of the best vintage horns out there. I have a The Martin alto, and it kills.
