Best Way To Photograph A Saxophone

    diffuse light is what you need, like outdoors on an overcast day.

      I have seen a set up where a 3 sided enclosure was made using white sheets with the light source behind the sheets. The sax is then illuminated in this manner and photographed without using a flash to avoid the glare and reflection from the shiny surface. John

        Of course, we want to see these pictures of that 140K MkVI in good condition. I hate it when people ask advice and then we don't learn the outcome . . .

          Haha. Yeah just find a lot of light like outdoors and don't use the flash on the camera.

          Thanks for all the tips. The sun is just starting to shine here in Wisconsin, so I may be able to get it outside this weekend to get some shots. It really is a beautiful alto, serial number 147,xxx. It's been my wife's for over 30 years, and had a fresh overhaul a couple years ago (with very little use since). I'll post them as soon as I take them!
