Please help identifying a sax B02284

Hi. A friend has had a tenor sax in the attic for decades and now wants to start playing.
The sax seems old, but has no make identified- yes I have looked everywhere.
Only a number B02284. I cant find this number on any of the lists on the web.
Does this mean anything to anybody please?
