some general otto link questions...
So I just have a few for you guys, hopefully someone can help out a bit.
My Florida link was "re-plated" back about 7 years ago... well that plating wore off very fast, and now it's mostly bare brass that looks like it's been sitting outside for 60 years.
Now I know most brass today it's bad, it just tastes bad and that's about it. But I do know that there is some brass out there that "could" have lead. Did old links use brass with lead? (if so I need to get some silver or gold over it asap)
Also where can I look up serial numbers? I know it's a early Florida piece just by the looks, but I want to get a year. It has a S## (number number) as the serial.
also EVERYONE SHOULD CHECK THIS GROUP OUT!

saw them last night at the Dakota in Minneapolis... holy crap! It was a fun night, followed by some bands at 1st Ave. I love this city!
