SELMER Chester Hazlett Model Back to model

This is a extremely rare vintage mouthpiece that was made by Selmer in the late twenties and early thirties. The mouthpiece was built with a specialized facing for Chester Hazlett who was the star reed specialist for the Paul Whiteman Orchestra. Aside from typical oxidation and some light wear on the side of the beak the mouthpiece is in fantastic shape. The inner dimension of the mouthpiece features a medium to large opened chamber and rounded side walls. Its tip and rails are in good shape as well with a tip opening of .061”.

The back of the shank is even equipped with the very rare and original amber tone enhancing ring.
